Give a brief description of the story.

The heroine, Kara O’Connor, is the attorney for a dying woman, whose last wish is for Kara to contact the father of her five-year-old son. The catch? Nick Harper, an ex-marine who’s now a dive boat captain in Hawaii, has no idea he’s a father. At Kara’s request, he flies to Texas to discover that the woman who turned down his marriage proposal years ago is dying of cancer at the same time he discovers he has a son.

What did you think the author did particularly well?

Well-drawn characters. Emotion that grabs you. Solid writing from beginning to end.

What was your favorite thing about the story?
