Give a brief description of the story: Emily Cooper is still mourning the death of her mother, and is convinced the only way she made it through was with the support of her boyfriend, Dillon Parker. She loves Dillon. He’s supportive, attractive, successful…and then she meets Gavin Blake and suddenly things change. She denies their attraction, refuses to court the notion of Gavin ever being anything to her, especially considering his reputation as a playboy and a player. But somehow, everything about Gavin makes her realize DIllon’s shortcomings. The drama that unfolds from this inner turmoil is sure to leave you breathless and looking for the next book.
What did you think the author did particularly well? Gavin as a bad boy is irresistible, especially once you realize he’s so much more than a bad boy. And Emily’s determination to resist him and stay faithful to Dillon is so well done. It’s not just an excuse to have a plot, you really believe that Emily wants to love Dillon but can’t get past what Gavin does to her.
What was your favorite thing about the story? The attraction between Gavin and Emily is awesome. It’s hot, complicated, inexorable. You want it to work, you want Emily to see that Dillion is a douche and Gavin is perfect for her.
Fans of After Math, True Love Story, and Lost to You might enjoy this story.
